● You must be at least 18 years old.
● You must be a student, teacher, youth worker, athlete or have a specialized skill.
You will earn a minimum of $2,000 for nine weeks and $230 for each additional week after that. The participants must receive the same compensation (or more) as their domestic counterparts and other Exchange Visitors. All local, state, and federal labor laws must be followed.
You have the option to apply for your preferred role as Camp Counselor, or employers might recruit you for a position.

3) Set up your Profile: We’ll set up your profile on our sponsor’s platform, schedule your interview and help you complete the paperwork.
4) Job Hunt: Time to choose your job and be interviewed by employers from the US.
5) Job Offers: Once you have received your job offer, you will then sign a contract of employment.
6) Paperwork Time: The DS2019 work permit will be processed in the United States and we’ll help you complete your J1 visa application.
7) Visa Support: We’ll support you in scheduling an appointment at the American embassy in Dublin for your J1 visa.
8) Get Ready to Go: We’ll give you tips and help plan your trip, including booking flights and transfers.
What is a summer camp?
Summer camp is a tradition in the US, where kids go to have fun, learn and do new activities during their summer holidays. Summer camps hire people from all over the world, creating an enriching cultural exchange.
How long is the duration of the camp?
The camp lasts for 9 weeks and you will be paid a minimum of $2000.
When does camp start?
The starting date for camps varies depending on the camp . The majority of camps start in May or June 2024, but you can check your specific camp starting date on our portal.
Why do I need an interview?
It is our responsibility to screen all of our participants to make sure they are suitable for the program and to work at a summer camp in an environment with children. It is also a visa requirement set by the U.S. Department of State.
What qualifications do I need to apply as a camp counselor?
You must be at least 18 years old and either be a student, teacher, youth worker or someone with a specialised skill.
What qualifies me as a person with a specialised skill?
You either need a certification/licence or 6 months experience in a structured environment. For example, if you took part in a painting course and received a certificate, if you worked in childcare or played football for at least 6 months.
Where are the camps located?
We work with lots of camps across the entire US. Some of our locations include Alaska, Maine, Texas, New York State and many more!
Can I choose which camp that I go to?
You can apply to any camp on our portal but you’ll need to be interviewed and hired by the camp in order to secure your spot. Also, interested camps can recruit you via the portal.
Are flights included?
No, flights are not included but your meals and accommodation will be provided, for the duration of your stay, as well as a minimum salary $2000.
